This Privacy Policy explains how Momento ("Momento", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Momento mobile application.

Momento is designed as a private, on-device app for saving and remembering birthdays, events, photos, reminders, and related countdown information. We do not operate our own backend servers for storing your personal app content.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information You Add to Momento

You may choose to add information to Momento, including:

• Event titles and descriptions.
• Event dates and reminder settings.
• Birthdays or imported contact-related dates.
• Photos or images attached to events.
• App preferences and settings.

This information is stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled for your device and Apple account, Apple may sync or back up this information through iCloud according to your device settings and Apple's terms and privacy practices. We do not receive, access, or store this content on Momento-owned servers.

2. Contacts, Photos, Notifications, Widgets, and Live Activities

Momento may request access to certain Apple system features only when needed for app functionality:

• Contacts: If you choose to import birthdays or events from your contacts, Momento reads the selected contact information needed to create local events. We do not upload your contacts to Momento-owned servers.
• Photos: If you choose to attach a photo to an event, Momento uses the selected photo for that event. We do not upload your photos to Momento-owned servers.
• Notifications: If you enable reminders, Momento schedules local notifications on your device.
• Widgets and Live Activities: If you use widgets or Live Activities, Momento may store limited event display data and images locally or in the app group container so iOS can show them.

You can manage system permissions in the iOS Settings app.
